Jackpot Fire Dept responded to request for assistance from Nevada Department of Transportation. As firefighters were driving to the NDOT station, encountered hail the size of golf balls to baseballs. A swath of hail several hundred yards wide was about six inches deep in spots and had to be plowed from US Highway 93. Estimated location given by Fire Dept was mile marker 128 on US Highway 93.
